All American Mechanical called me soon after I submitted my ServiceMagic request and arrived at my home a half hour later. Our furnace had gone out early in the morning on a VERY cold winter day! This is the second time I have worked with All American. The first time they replaced an ancient heat pump on one of the hottest days of the summer. This time, our second heat pump needed some attention. It has been running on the "strip heat" ($$$) since the big February snow storm. I called on a Saturday to make an appointment for the work week. Because I didn't have any time available in my work schedule on Monday or Tuesday, they came today, less than 4 hours after I called. That's what I call amazing customer service. The price for the repair was reasonable and fair. I would recommend them. Update 5/13/2010: The HVAC system mentioned in my previous review finally died. The crew arrived on time for their appointment this morning, and I now have a brand new system, both inside and out. It was installed quickly and professionally by All American, and done at a fair price.

I had an entire HVAC system installed in June. By my request, they came out on a Saturday to install once they new I had a newborn and it was hot out. They were also responsive to a simple question I had regarding the system performance and were willing to come out immediately to fix. I was referred to All American from two other people that also had a complete HVAC installation by them. I highly recommend All American.

This company not only met my expectations but exceeded them. We needed a complete replacement of our heat pump system and they were willing to come out on a holiday and do the replacement. They were very prompt and courteous, and were even willing to drag the new unit 200 ft through the snow to get it to the back of the house. Compared to other local contractors, their service and price was unbeatable. I would highly recommend All American for any heating/cooling needs.

This company came out on Friday within two hours of me calling them and got my heat back to working! Then when it broke again three days later, I called them at 945 pm and they were at my door at 8 am and fixed the problem for no charge....great price and great service!! This company was All American in my experience!!

I must admit I was very skeptical about hiring All American Mechanical because their prices were extremely reasonable and I was promised next day installation to meet the MD State $500.00 rebate deadline. I had two other estimates that did not even come close. My brother-in-law works for ********* and said he would match the price (regrettably), but when I asked him to come the next day to install he said that would be impossible. I feel confident to recommend All American Mechanical not only for their outstanding work ethic, but also for expert advise on choosing a system to meet our needs. The installers were very courteous and handled my requests with ease. They had to work well after dark to finish, remove a system that was over 20 years old, push away llamas in their work space and respect my new floor and painted walls! I was very impressed by All American Mechanical Inc. After being mis-diagnosed by another company stating that our motor in our A/C unit needed to be replaced, I called All American for a second diagnosis. When the technician from All American came out, I was told within a few minutes that the wires to the compressor came undone and only needed to be rewired in order for our unit to work. Thus, our motor was not the issue. All American saved us hundreds of dollars in unnecessary repair costs as the prior company quoted us over $700 to replace the motor, which in fact, was not the problem in the first place. I am glad I called All American for a second opinion because they are an honest, courteous and professional company who cares about saving their customers from unnecessary repairs. I will continue to rely on them for future repairs and will definitely recommend them to others.

On the hottest days of the year the upstairs air-conditioned went bad. Called All American and was attended immediately and weekend was not a problem for Hussain. He came out very quickly. We first tried to see if we could fix the unit but next day it went hot again and all the Freon was gone so we decided to change the unit as there was a leak somewhere and also the unit was abt 11 years old. Everything was explained to detail and he set me up with the TRANE financing in 2 seconds, and got the unit the next day and was installed the next day, really fast and great TEAM of workers. They had to go into the attic with probably 150 degrees (not easy believe me). Great satisfaction and would recommend them to anybody. Very honest proposal and BGE discount and tax refund were well explained. Just to mention any of their competitors I called could not come out for longest times and I would have suffered for at least another 2/3 weeks. Great job guys, Ellicott city.

This is the second time I've called AAM for service during record heat in the last 2 years. I've been impressed by their prompt response, ability to diagnose & fix my problems and all for a reasonable price. Other HVAC companies I've called in the past gave me leadtimes of 5 - 7 days. I did have some trouble with the extended warranty paper work after the installation. But they fixed it upon my request quickly. The system works great.My utility bills are much lower than I expected. I think they treat their business seriously.

He correctly diagnosed the problem with the humidifier, replaced a faulty solenoid valve, and corrected the wiring which the original installer (********) had done incorrectly (the humidifier only worked when the emergency heat was on; now it works whenever the system is active. The heat pump never worked effectively since it was installed three years ago and now it works perfectly.

Due to a severe freon leak in my old system, I found myself in need of an entirely new heating/cooling system just in time for a wave of 105 degree weather. Understandably, I was in a hurry to get some quotes and get the new system installed ASAP. The quote appointment from All American was quick and clear and their prices were *far* better than the other quotes I had received. At the time, there was not a lot of readily available reviews, but I felt comfortable enough to take a chance and choose this company over my previous service company and scheduled the install. Roughly one week later, the crew came out and quickly and efficiently replaced my system. The whole process went smoothly, the employees were courteous, all the old equipment was quickly removed, and the owner inspected the job when it was done. I later discovered a very small problem with the install, and the owner was out within hours to quickly diagnose and solve the issue. All in all, I was very pleased, and plan to use them for all of my heating/cooling service needs for the foreseeable future, and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

I thought that they really did a very nice job. Since I had to finish the basement it was not an easy installation. They worked with me to route the pipes in a manner that I really liked. It was not easy but they got the job done. It cost a lot of money but they had the best price by far of the competitors. I was a little leery because I thought that it was so cheap that something must be wrong. I could not find much feedback good or bad. It took a chance because the person I had been using would not even negotiate. He did a little bit but when I told him that I would go with him, he said that he was busy. So I gave All American Mechanical a chance and they did a really good job. I well consider using them again in the future.

I typically have an issue with most technicians, whether it is plumbing, car mechanics or HVAC. However, I found All American Mechanical to be extremely professional and reliable. They came late saturday night to fix our AC last summer within hours of placing the call.

Their pricing is considerably lower than 3 other competitors that I checked out. That's what had me a little worried but everything turned out great and remains so.
